Dear Truman Families,

We are working on providing the best possible remote learning experience for our students and their families. Part of that work is to support you with any challenges you may have. Below are some resources on laptops, internet access, tutoring, childcare, mental health support and college scholarships. We will be adding resources to this list as they become available.

Internet Access

Community Academic Support

Tacoma Library is partnered with TPS and offers a wealth of resources including online tutoring, current news, e books, study tools, and even a space to collaborate and study for other students. Go to tacomalibrary.org, scroll to the bottom of the page, click TPS Pathway Partnership, and click “Homework Center” to access these resources. Use student ID for login, and ‘1234’ for the PIN. HelpNow is the resource that includes tutoring from 11am to 10pm. Link Below

College Bound Scholarship

Washington State offers a scholarship opportunity for income eligible families called The College Bound Scholarship. Students sign up in 7^th or 8^th grade, commit to achieving at least a 2.0 GPA and High School and completing their FASFA in 12^th grade in order to receive support for Washington based colleges & universities. The Washington State Achievement Council will mail out information on this program in the fall. We will advertise when the applications are available.
